What you can expect

Join our Data Science community and shape the future of digitalization in Research and Development. We provide decision support in areas comprising materials and systems research as well as process and quality control.

• You will apply advanced statistics and machine learning for explorative data analysis, predictive analytics, and optimization.
• You will initiate and execute analytics projects in collaboration with research and business units in diverse high performing teams and liaise with academic experts and commercial partners.
• In these project teams, you will develop IT solutions (apps) to help our partners making better decisions.
• You will communicate and disseminate data analytics to a broad community of scientists and managers.

What we expect

• You hold an outstanding PhD in Applied Statistics or Science with a strong focus on statistical/machine learning methods.
• You gained experience in multiple projects using statistical software packages and programming languages like R, SAS, Python, TensorFlow, Rapid Miner and others.
• You have demonstrated that you can solve real world problems and support research activities with data modeling and analysis.
• You bring agility, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking into the team while feeling comfortable in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and challenging environment.
• You have demonstrated that you can build AI systems based on machine learning technology by integrating advanced algorithms with interfaces for observation and action.
