What you can expect

Support our team Herbicides Chemistry as soon as possible in the position of a Research Scientist in identifying and developing highly effective, innovative chemical crop protection products.

• You will prepare the research findings that have been generated in a clear and descriptive manner and present them in a suitable form.
• In addition, you will follow current market trends attentively, evaluate them with regard to their relevance to BASF and derive relevant recommendations for new applications from them.
• You will demonstrate your engagement in internationally structured, interdisciplinary teams and be responsible for the projects handled in the process.
• Your duties will also include maintaining networks with scientific and research partners.

What we expect

• You have a doctorate in chemistry, on which you achieved above average success, and are intimately familiar with the field of organic chemical synthesis.
• In addition, you master the standard analytical and testing methods and are familiar with the general workflows in research labs.
• You are a proficient user of the standard IT applications, and you are also able to utilize your excellent English language skills confidently in your day-to-day working activities.
• You are also impressive for your high level of determination and orientation toward goals, and your strengths include a focus on performance, innovation and customers as well as teamwork and communication skills.
