Description

Objectives of thePosition

    • Lead the Quality Assurance department and its associated activities for Coatings in Country.
    • Responsible for continuous quality improvement processes, initiate and drive quality efficiency measures in Country. Plan, implement, monitor, review and improve overall Quality programs to meet business and customer expectations.
    • Support the LBM in decision making relating to Quality Assurance.
    • Act as main interface for quality related topics for Country towards other countries Asia Pacific.
    • Improve Quality competencies of its personnel, and subsequently establishing Quality efficiency & excellence within the organization.
    • Functionally reports to RBU Quality Management Asia Pacific for regional directives, initiatives, best practices and KPIs to harmonize Quality processes

Main Tasks

  1. Quality Assurance
    • Responsible for the establishment of Quality Management System (ISO, IATF) and ensure timely accreditation for Country organization to ensure business excellence and continuity.
    • Responsible for establishing, validating, analysing and revising quality data, processes, workflows and documentations in accordance to Quality Management System guidelines, and to meet QM requirements as set forth by BASF and EC.
    • Responsible for the planning, management and organization of internal and external Quality, Process and Crater audits, as well as on tollers’ sites, to ensure compliance to Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement. Provide active support for external audits originating from Coatings group companies.
    • Responsible for driving Quality efficiency: prompt investigation and comprehensive closure of non-conforming incidents, increase customer satisfaction and reduce Quality management cost, and in compliance to safety principals.
    • Monitor, analyze and report on Quality situation & cost in the country, establish country-specific measures and initiatives to achieve continuous improvement.
    • Advise and support the LBM with regards to Quality related topics, and on initiatives that will support continuous improvement of Quality and Quality awareness in the organization.
  1. People and Organization Management
    • Provide disciplinary leadership to the Quality Assurance team in the country organization, including resource (manpower and budget) planning and control, target setting and monitoring, performance assessment, personnel development and succession planning.
    • Set ambitious and measurable targets for the team, define priorities and workload of team members, guide the teams to achieve these targets and monitor team’s performance.
    • Responsible for budget planning for equipment, software, and hardware purchases, installation and maintenance. Define prioritization of requirement and administer funds to meet approved budget.
    • Train, coach and develop the team with the sufficient professional knowledge and competency to efficiently detect, investigate and prevent recurrence of non-conformance incidents.
    • Compile and review work records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually improve performance.
    • Provide professional guidance on QA-related matter to Tollers.
  1. Communication
    • Act as main interface for all functions/departments within the country organization on Quality Assurance topics
    • Reports disciplinarily to LBM, and functionally to the Regional Quality Management Asia Pacific

Minimum Education and Qualification Required forthe Position

  • Education: University degree or more
  • Working Experience: >15 years quality, production, paint technology related experience, experience as leadership position
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: quality related knowledge, fluent English skill
