We are seeking a Quality Solution Manager to join our team.

Quality Solution Manager (1704239) – Southfield, MI

Formula for Success: You Will…

· Resolve quality issues by working with external customers and across all relevant internal functions.

· Assess quality issues by assembling cross-functional teams, identifying a plan to minimize damage in market, and analyze and implement root cause corrective actions.

· Interact with internal and external customers in crisis situations to provide root cause and corrective actions to foster and maintain a high-level customer relationship.

· Drive down costs of poor quality by systematizing root cause corrective actions.

· Lead, mentor and manage a team to raise the quality in performance.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer interaction in high-pressure situations.
  • A minimum of 10 years of business experience in one of the following disciplines: manufacturing, sales, technical development, and/or customer service.
  • Expertise in resolving business-critical issues across multiple departments.
  • Proven influential leadership skills within a cross-functional team, setting the direction, and ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Project leadership.
  • Proven ability to quickly build a robust network with executive management in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical personnel, site support groups, external certification bodies, and customer representatives.
  • Knowledge of statistics preferred; Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma training (green belt or better) highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve systemic quality problems, including implementation of control plans utilizing an extended and cross-functional team.
