Where the Chemistry Happens… We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to plan and coordinate the quality assurance activities for third party contract manufacturing sites and bulk distribution terminals for the Agricultural Products North America (APN) organization, based in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC. QA Specialist – Chemical Manufacturing (1703389) - RTP, NC As a QA Specialist you will be responsible for establishing and implementing guidelines related to QA practices, as well as cross and microbial contamination prevention for 3rd party contract manufacturing sites and bulk terminals. You will also plan and conduct QA and Contamination Prevention audits at third party contract manufacturing sites and bulk distribution terminals to ensure compliance with guidelines.   • Ensure continuous improvement and drive resolution for QA non-conformances related to manufacturing and analytical testing with the appropriate personnel. Ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions are defined and implemented
  • Oversee the development, implementation and compliance of controlled product assurance plans and other QA related documentation
  • Track product and process non-conformances for trends and process improvements

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline; i.e.: Business, Quality, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and/or Continuous Improvement within a manufacturing environment
  • Certification in Auditing (such as CQA), or willing to obtain certification within 6-12 months of hire
  • Proficiency in Office programs (Word, Power Point, Excel)
  • Willing and able to travel 25% of the time (US and Canada)

We Also Look For…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Related Scientific Field
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and/or Continuous Improvement
  • Experience within a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge in development and implementation of Quality systems (ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles)
  • Familiarity with Operations and Laboratory procedures and practices in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with Non-Conformance Management processes
  • Microbiological prevention and testing
