Where the Chemistry Happens… Technical Assistant (1703661) – Attapulgus, GA The Quality Assurance Technical Assistant is responsible for creating customer certificates of analysis (COAs) in SAP in accordance with specific customer requirements. This position is responsible for using a computerized system to update production inventory locations (SILOs) with the appropriate quality LIMS records in support of the shipment blend process. To ensure accuracy of quality updates for COAs and the shipment blending process, this position is responsible for monitoring laboratory data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the site production processes: FCC, MBC, Additives, and Fertilizer production processes. The incumbent will use basic statistical methods to improve data integrity in regards to established analytical requirements and specification limits, determine appropriate corrective measures, and coordinate with the responsible person(s) to resolve such matters. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills with an ability to quickly address and resolve issues related to reporting of quality, /technical-level data.
  • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of basic statistics
  • Ability to work independently and deliver projects/tasks on time and within budget
  • Proactive, motivated, self-starter capable of working with limited supervision and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You… Basic qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of experience working as a quality, logistics, or technical assistant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience working as a quality, logistics, or technical assistant
  • Knowledge of quality management system requirements
  • Previous experience utilizing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Experience utilizing SAP
