Where the Chemistry Happens… Site Manager Administrative Assistant (1704037) – Attapulgus, GA Site Manager Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to BASF Attapulgus Operations with a Safety-First mindset. The incumbent will provide a wide range of highly responsible and confidential administrative duties in support of the Site Manager and Human Resources. They will perform general office functions and related tasks as required daily. Work is to be considered as strictly confidential unless indicated otherwise by exception. This position includes activities and responsibilities in support of the Site Manager and others around a variety of site events which occur throughout the year. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting in the process of posting hourly union jobs; employment testing of applicants; and assisting with coordination of interviews for various managers. They are responsible for processing new hire onboarding paperwork and I-9 completion. They will work with site medical in coordination of random drug screens and retrieval of drug screen results. They are responsible for three (3) company vehicles used for company business – maintaining usage schedule; upkeep of tags, insurance, and vehicle inspections by on-site mechanic. They will have use of a Purchasing card to purchase various items for the site and will be responsible for processing these transactions through account reconciliation. They will be responsible for the coordination of various plant functions or meetings and may involve coordination of catering services. The incumbent will assist with the coordination of the annual United Way Campaign as well as off-site meetings or events for the site. They will be responsible for information conveyed on the digital display monitors throughout the plant. They will be responsible for paying certain invoices thru Web Cycle and serve as the on-site Notary Public. They will be expected to understand, monitor and operate within process safety operational guidelines and report process safety incidents. The incumbent will be expected to ensure adherence to proper internal controls, Company policies and procedures, and generally accepted principles in all aspects of their work. They must have a safety mindset. They work with little direct supervision and adapts to changing business conditions. They will be expected to have strong communication skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Also, troubleshoot and problem solve as well as work under tight deadlines, set priorities, and make sound business decisions. Responsibilities also include:

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You… Basic qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources with 3 years of related experience
  • Experience utilizing SAP
