Where the Chemistry Happens… Quality Control Technician (1704305) – Buffalo, NY This highly technical position will be hands on, conducting inspections of steel components and assemblies using various test methods. Candidates must have an eye for details, operate at a high energy level and be able to interface with both internal and external personnel. Candidates will also be heavily involved in internal and external audits, as well as working within nonconformance and continuous improvement systems. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You… Basic qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum eight (8) years working in any of the following fields: Quality, engineering, project management with a focus on welding and/or fabrication.
  • A minimum of an AAS degree in a related field is required.
  • Candidates must also have the following certifications; CWI and ASNT-TC-1A
  • Exposure to ISO Standards along with excellent written communication skills including producing and maintaining detailed records and reports is required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Non-destructive testing and the following codes: D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.4 D1.5, D1.6 and ASME
  • CRI certification
