Description

Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s regional headquarters oversees more than 16,000 employees at about 100 sites across Asia Pacific. In addition to regional business units, Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services. Objectives of the Position

• To provide support to the Corporate Affairs Team on communications topics including internal communications, external communications and marketing communications, to create chemistry with external and internal stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region

Job Responsibilities

• External Communications:
  • Write, edit, publish, upload and distribute news releases to relevant media and stakeholders
  • Draft Q&As and coordinate media interviews
  • Support the writing of executive speeches and presentations for external conferences
  • Support Hong Kong-level stakeholder dialogue and engagement
  • Maintain relationships with regional/Hong Kong based media and handle media requests
  • Support media analysis and Internet traffic monitoring
• Internal Communications:
  • Provide support on regular local internal communications tasks for the Hong Kong office
  • Maintain the content of Asia Pacific Intranet to ensure all the content is up-to-date
  • Support corporate citizenship/volunteering projects
  • Assist in the publication of the regional newsletter
  • Assist in employee engagement activities e.g. Lunch & Learn, Breakfast Chat
• Marketing Communications:
  • Support event management and preparation of Kids’ Lab Hong Kong
  • Support Kids’ Lab Asia Pacific Facebook page with content creation and advertising campaigns to drive online engagement and brand awareness

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Communications / Public Relations or related discipline
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in professional communications function or agency
• Fresh graduates will also be considered with demonstration of experience through relevant coursework or extracurricular projects
• Technical knowledge of chemistry is not a must, but enthusiasm for corporate or B2B topics is crucial
• Excellent command of written and spoken English is necessity; fluency in Chinese is a significant advantage
• Dynamic, creative and proactive working style
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Officer/Senior Officer
