We ' re looking for a Utility Operator to work our second shift from 2:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. This position is responsible for performing various production tasks with quality, and in a safe, economical and technically feasible manner. Your responsibilities would also include:

  • Lead line activities and be knowledgeable of and follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety practices - Execution of daily activities ensuring production deadlines are met in a safe and timely manner - Participate in job related training.
  • Ability of being crossed trained and train others in various work-related areas and processes.
  • Ability to setup, operate, monitor and adjust production related equipment to assure safe equipment operation and product quality.
  • Follow SOP and assist in developing SOP's as required by job assignments.
  • Assist in equipment inspections and calibration.
  • Identification if equipment malfunctions and perform minor maintenance and notifications.
  • Lead Housekeeping and 5S Teams to assure sustainability.
  • Control product quality through communicating item damage or off spec condition that exist to QC. - Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

  • Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a production capacity within a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Computer skills
  • Mechanically inclined, Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Must be punctual with good attendance.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Utility Operator will direct activities in absence of Production Supervisor This position is within a job family and will be filled at a level applicable to the incumbent's qualifications.
