Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage the site work order system by planning, scheduling, applying standards and coordinating services of planned maintenance jobs. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for minimizing costs and production downtime by the proper use of craft manpower, materials and services by determining manpower and properly utilizing the manning in assigned areas required for construction, major maintenance and routine maintenance projects.

Formula for Success: You Will…

· Possess knowledge of the principles of their technical discipline, learning to apply those principles to work assignments.

· Adjust maintenance plans along continuous improvement of materials used / needed, man hours, sequence of activities, and support services.

· Update task lists to ensure necessary changes or improvements or incorporated, and efficiencies are captured.

· Order / verify materials and contracted services.

· Facilitate weekly scheduling meeting with Production and Maintenance for resource balancing to ensure job schedules meet the timing requirements of production.

· Validate daily schedule (from weekly schedule) -Afternoon check-in with maintenance and production, Status of current day and confirmation of tomorrow

· Generate purchase requisitions.

· Develop a maintenance plan in the range of 6 -12 weeks.

· Work in close coordination with maintenance, operations, and contractor service suppliers.

· Work with the Maintenance Gatekeepers to handle schedule breakers based on process needs and the current business environment.

· Lead Maintenance group in absence of Maintenance Supervisor.

· Monitors adherence to maintenance repair plans and modifies / incorporates upgrades to improve repair processes, may check execution of plans as well as plant / equipment layout and conditions prior to planning.

· Verify and secure compliance of actual service / material delivered with procurement paperwork (order / invoice / service report).

· Make recommendations for continuous improvements.

· Assist in identification of standard task lists and develops optimized plans for them.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelors degree plus 3 years extensive experience or Vocational training with 8+ years extensive experience.
  • Five plus years industrial maintenance or engineering experience working with automated manufacturing machinery.
  • Proven computer skills; CMMS system (SAP) desired.
  • Proven experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industrial plant operation with regards to Electrical/Instrumentation and Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Must have a general understanding of industrial maintenance practices, to include work planning, contracting work, preventative maintenance, parts procurement, budget control, and measuring craft performance.
  • Must be capable of making business decisions based upon situation analysis and resources available.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
