Description

Objectives

  • Partner with business units, functions and sites to drive operational excellence activities for all sites in Asia Pacific to achieve regional KPIs and targets.
  • Be the champion for all aspects of production optimization at sites in order to achieve cost efficiency and effectiveness by exchanging best practices and establishing data transparency.
  • Train, coach and mentor business unit colleagues to increase their knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma tools.

Main Tasks

  • Partner with sites to identify and implementation OpEx opportunities
  • Drive implementation of BASF R-1 KPIs and sites and partner with them to leverage KPIs to identify improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate Operational Excellence activities/projects around at all sites in Asia-Pacific area (China, India, Thailand, Korea and Japan).
  • Train, coach and mentor business unit colleagues to increase their knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques
  • Provides coaching to site teams to ensure proactive deployment initiatives to support the business strategies and plans
  • Lead or support BU-specific projects

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors or above, major in Engineering or Science
  • Working Experience: International experiences preferred, notably in field of implementing measures for introducing and developing Operational Excellence in an industrial environment; Solid experience in using change management methods; More than 5 years technical experiences, plant/operations preferred; Experience, skills, and knowledge in various manufacturing disciplines, including production, maintenance, technology, product design, project management, and/or management systems is preferred
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Lean Six Sigma certified Black Belt with at least 3-5 years practical experience
  • Good interpersonal, time management skills with ability to interact in a multi-national and multiple hierarchical levels in Asia Pacific;
  • Proficient command of verbal and written English skills mandatory; Good analytical skill & problem solving approach; Proficiency in computer skills such as Minitab and Microsoft Office applications
