The Manufacturing Services Manager leads the manufacturing technology management team supporting the global portfolio of end-use products, and is a member of the Professional & Specialty Solutions (P&SS) business for BASF's Crop Protection division.   • Define “to be” operations organization for dedicated P&SS product portfolio. Lead the P&SS asset strategy, determine the formulation of finished products in own plants or at toll manufacturers. Define and lead the execution/implementation.
  • Lead the implementation of development projects from R&D on technical scale in the assigned BASF plants or third-party tollers.
  • Classify current product portfolio jointly with Marketing & Controlling; review and develop the organizational operations set-up, capacity, and cost situation.
  • Develop strategies to optimize and safeguard the current business, including defining the best-suited process to execute in close sync with main interfaces in the regional business and global functional units.
  • Sustain in-house FFP technology expertise, sustain and develop competitive cost positions, and monitor the supply chain.
  • Work with contract manufacturing including technology set up, contract negotiation, and relationship management
  • Develop asset and operations strategy in line with business growth expectations.
  • Lead the implementation of development projects from R&D on a technical scale in the assigned BASF assets or third parties.
  • Participate on the global Professional and Specialty Solutions leadership team in definition of business excellence, innovation, talent development, and sustainability initiatives.
