Where the Chemistry Happens… Shipper 1703993 – Quincy, FL The Shipper will be part of the Production team and will be based in Quincy, FL and support the overall success of the Dispersions & Resins business in North America. Job Duties Include:

  • Operate all coarse gel shipping paper bagging and bulk bagging equipment. Includes ability to operate and troubleshoot new coarse gel packer (robot packer), conveyers, reject system, palletizer, shrink wrapper system, bulk bagger, and forklift to help meet target production rates at coarse gel shipping.
  • Provide additional coverage for all Class 2 Shipper and Forklift Operator positions at the site in North Fine Grind and Granular Shipping. Includes operation of all paper bagging and bulk bagging equipment in North Fine Grind and Granular Shipping when assigned by Production Supervisors. Primary assignment will be coarse gel shipping but temporary assignments to other gel and granular bagging stations will be required to meet business demands throughout the year.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and erratic work schedules. Shippers will be expected to rotate day, evening, and midnight shift throughout the year but coverage may require a combination of day, evening, and midnight shift work during same work week or month. Production Supervisor will determine weekly work schedule based on changing business needs.
  • Perform housekeeping and cleanup activities in all bagging station work areas. Includes Hi-Vac operation, reject area management, dumpster management, and all other clean up related activities that cannot be performed using the Vacuum truck throughout the plant.
  • Perform all other jobs assigned by Production Supervisors or Management personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement, learning new equipment and processes, training others and sharing operational knowledge is an essential objective of the position.
  • Multi-task, prioritize assignments and job duties, and work in a fast paced work environment with limited supervision.
  • Be physically able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and write and follow instructions provided on paper or by email.
  • Follow all Quincy site policies and procedures and comply with all BASF corporate guidelines.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of forklift experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to be self directed and ability to work in team environment
  • Experience with MS Office
  • SAP experience
