Description

This position is based at BASF PETRONAS Chemicals' Sdn Bhd, a RM3.4 billion joint venture that combines the innovative strengths and capabilities of two well-established Fortune 500 companies, BASF SE (60%), the world's leading chemical company and PETRONAS (40%), Malaysia’s fully integrated energy company with a wide network of operations around the world. Objective Monitors plants’ operating conditions on continuous basis, evaluates and recommends measures for improvement, coordinates implementation of modifications in order to achieve safe operation of the plants with optimized consumptions and minimum waste generation.

Main Tasks

• Monitors and evaluates plant performance with the objective of maintaining highest operating efficiency and plant reliability
• Performs process studies and recommends areas for improvement in the process and operating procedures
• Coordinates implementation of plant improvement initiatives and execution of capital expenditure projects
• Support Production Planning and Controlling Function
• Performs coordination function of catalyst replacement projects and plant modification projects
• Updates Plant Process Manuals to incorporates new findings and changes to the process

Requirements

• Degree in chemical engineering with 4 years experience or more
• Experience in Chemical / product / material related transactions and accounting will be an added advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player
• Proactive, posses drive and commitment towards standard and performance for self
