With the current growth in our downstream portfolio, we are integrating the most powerful minds and talented high achievers to drive our outstanding performance as a global leader in the chemical industry OBJECTIVES The candidate will manage and fully responsible for scaffolding issues at allocated complex / plant / building in BPC Site, business operations and construction activities for maintenance and capital projects / MOCs MAIN TASKS

• To ensure compliance to all relevant laws / regulations and Company corporate requirements.
• To ensure the scaffolding procedure, specification standards are included and follow, in work scaffolding erecting, construction and dismantling.
• Able to assess the amounts and types of scaffolding works needed, and methods of executions and dismantling based on factors such as location and equipment use.
• Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate on scaffolding activities.
• Track and monitor contractor key performance indicators reporting any deviation from targets and develop corrective actions.
• Participates in the planning of major maintenance and main shutdowns. This includes highlighting specific items of equipment which require Maintenance Scaffolding Services involvement, assessing resources, material and logistic requirements

REQUIREMENT

• Certificate in Civil Engineering at INSTEP with min 7 years experiences or Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with min 5 years hands on working experience in scaffolding.
• Attended Scaffolding Supervisor Course by DOSH / NIOSH Certified as Scaffolder Level 2 given advantage.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia / competency person DOSH. Has capability to calculate the counterweight for outboard of heavy duty Suspended Scaffolding
• Proficient in the preparation, erecting and dismantling of Scaffolding materials.
• Knowledgeable in various Scaffolding material types and applications
• Having highly proactive attitude with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Able to work under intense pressure in a fast paced environment and deliver within tight deadlines
• Proactive, committed and result oriented team player
• Good in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written
