OBJECTIVES

To manage plant utilities and infrastructures at BASF PETRONAS Chemicals in order to ensure the plant is running smoothly and comply with all the regulatory requirements.

MAIN TASKS

• Manage the Nitrogen Generation Plant, Condensate Polishers Unit and Infrastructure Area (including roads and site)
• Lead the commissioning of 120 mt/h @ 50 Barg steam boilers.

• Manage and maintain plant infrastructure i.e pipe racks, roads, lighting, underground cooling water piping and fire hydrants.

• Execute all preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all key utility equipment.

• Prepare, coordinate and manage Turnaround Activity for Nitrogen Generation and Condensate Polisher Unit.

• Ensure that all plant utilities are operated in compliance with the standards, work practices, and limitations contained within the plant's air operating permit and other applicable government regulations

• Ensure that all required safety practices are observed and followed by all utility and outside maintenance contractor personnel

• Develop and implement plans/procedures that may be required to comply with future regulatory changes.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor / Master in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from recognized university
• Minimum 10 years working experience in Utilities/plant production in Oil&Gas, Petrochemicals, Oleochemicals or power plant industries
• Experience in operating Nitrogen Plant & Demineralized Plant is an added advantage
• Experience in utilities or plant commissioning is an added advantage
• Certified as Steam Engineer is an added advantage
• Must have highly proactive attitude with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Highly independent and possess excellent leadership capabilities.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skill and able to work under pressure.
• Basic knowledge in SAP system.
• Good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
