Where the Chemistry Happens… Operator Associate (1703997) – Greenville, OH • Load and process reactors and perform in-process quality testing. • Work in a team-oriented atmosphere. This includes learning all the tasks and equipment associated with the process lane, helping coordinate the flow of work within the team and with other departments, and helping team associates to meet changing work demands. • Start at Level I and be expected to continually advance their skill sets and participate in the team rotation.• This is a safety sensitive position.• Ability to perform in-process testing procedures, as directed• Knowledge of plant chemical handling procedures including use of the PPE database• Maintain assigned inspections and housekeeping duties• Occasional lifting, bending, and twisting of various range and motion requiring physical exertion when handling material, equipment.• Ability to lift 50 pounds• Ability to stand and walk in work environment• Frequent use of stairs required.• Occasional use of respiratory protection including air purifying, air supplied, and self contained air supplied respirators. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
