Process Control Engineer (1703652) We are seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our Bishop, TX site which manufactures pharmaceutical active ingredient and is OSHA PSM and RMP. You will provide frontline support to operations. One of the units operate year round and the other operates on a campaign basis. The units use both batch and continuous operations and you will need to have a strong commitment to safety as the site has aggressive chemicals and utilizes high pressure equipment.   • Participate in the management of change process and safety reviews (PHA, MSR)
  • Develop schematics, point configurations, control strategy and DCS code for batch and continuous operating units
  • Provide support to the operations team (loop tuning , code troubleshooting, alarm management)
  • Work with the unit process engineers to identify and implement improvements relating to productivity and cost reduction
  • Monitor the system performance and perform system management functions on both a scheduled and as needed basis

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or other relevant technical degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in operations
  • Strong technical skills
  • Strong oral communication and listening skills.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.

  • Experience with SIS
  • Experience with off hours operations support
  • Experience with Environmental support (emission calculations, permit support).
