What you can expect

In BASF Antwerp, the largest free electricity and natural gas market in Belgium, with an internal steam and gas power plant of 400 MW and with an internal steam system that is the energetic link between the various production plants, STEG and steam plant, you will get the opportunity to take full operational responsibility regarding metering within the utility management group.

  • This means that you monitor BASF´s energy billings and assign the right amounts to the different energy consumers and manufacturers on site. You will be supported by a powerful platform and a strong team of operational excellence.
  • Because you will obtain a global overview of the site in terms of energy needs, a strong input regarding new concepts is expected from you to further optimize our energy allocation.
  • In addition, a large contribution is expected in determining the billings concepts for the energies and pipeline networks.
  • You can count on close cooperation with internal customers, operators of various production facilities and networks, and diverse groups within financial services and the Energy Policy cel.

What we expect

  • You have obtained a degree in engineering, with focus on energy.
  • You have a strong conceptual thinking and an eye for detail.
  • You are interested in metering, performance systems and energy networks. Furthermore you have an affinity with databases and IT platforms.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Belgian energy market is a plus.
  • You are result-oriented, down-to-earth, critical and you can sell your ideas with conviction.
