What you can expect

As a Regional Category buyer, you will report to the Regional Category Manager. You will have the full responsibility for sourcing the categories under your responsibility for the assigned countries within Europe, according the category strategy.

• You will be responsible for contributing to strategy for Regional Categories: Provide input of iBPs' needs and market knowledge to Regional Category Manager.
• You will Support the Regional Category Manager on strategy development, strategy implementation & follow-up.
• You will prepare and execute RfX within boundaries set by Regional Category Manager, and hand over RfX execution to Shared Service Center (if applicable).
• You will be responsible for negotiation & contract award: determine optimal negotiation / award alternative, award goods / services package to supplier(s), if RfX result within defined boundaries and targets, otherwise seek approval from Regional Category Manager.
• You will be in charge of contract implementation & monitoring: manage contracts and decide on appropriate actions; inform relevant parties (e.g. Shared Service Center, iBP) about negotiation results; manage supply issues and/or sales allocations.

What we expect

• The successful candidate should be educated to degree level, preferably in an engineering, chemical or science based subject.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in purchasing or engineering/maintenance into an international environment and a chemical specialty business
• Candidates should be self-motivated and conscientious individuals, and have first class negotiation, decision making and communication skills.
• The ideal candidate speaks Fluent Italian and English.
• A certain amount a foreign travel is expected.
