Description

BASF started doing business in Japan in 1888. Activities cover four business segments including chemicals, performance products, functional materials & solutions and agricultural solutions. BASF maintains a strong research and development presence in Japan including the Yokohama Innovation Center (engineering plastics) and the Research and Development Laboratory and Application Technology Center for Battery Materials in Amagasaki. Objectives of the Position

  • Commercial support to key account management as to provide the reliable business data with analysis as to achieve the business excellence
  • Schedule control for customer’s technical requests
  • Support CPM in logistics by communication with Supply Chain, Production and a distributor

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

RFQ Management:

  1. RFQ Management in due time with P/L simulation / Commercial scenario simulation and analysis
  2. RFQ implementation monitoring

Budgeting, Sales & Profitability analysis:

  1. Support operational planning related CM1 before budget and forecast reporting
  2. Improve invoice forecast accuracy with account’s support / Analyze deviations in consumption
  3. Sales volume, Net Sales, CM1 report and analysis

Support scheduling, project track and others:

  1. Schedule control for customer’s technical requests / share information with a distributor & Customers
  2. Support CPM in logistics by communication with SCM, Production and a distributor
  3. Set up productivity management process, if applied / Productivity analysis and monitoring

Support Local Key Account of Automotive OEM

  1. Commercial relevant assistance, such as presentation, price negotiation, documentation etc

Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)

Education

  • Bachelor or above in Business Management or chemical-related majors

Working Experience

  • at least 3 years’ relevant working experience.

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Commercial and technical knowledge; Knowledge in Coatings process and Sales & Marketing; Project management experience; Good communication skills both in English and Japanese; IT user skills
