Objectives

  • Maintain and develop BASF Chemical Catalysts business and responsible for managing the business with EPC companies located in Asia Pacific region.
  • Collaborate with colleagues (Asia and global) to bring value to BASF
  • Collect feedback from the customers and be a contributor to the innovation of CCP
  • Be a role model of collaboration and supporting other team members

Main Tasks

  • Plan and carry out sales activities to achieve business target, including managing and improving CM1 under his/her responsibility
  • Establish database and track all projects in chemical and petrochemical industry (incl. new, expansion and retrofitting) in Asia Pacific region
  • Responsible for managing business with EPC companies across Asia Pacific, incl. follow up and prepare offers, lead and coordinate negotiation activities (incl. projects in other regions)
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure the proper execution of the contracts with customers (incl. order processing, goods deliveries, payment settlements, etc.)
  • Collect market information, analyze competition landscape, establish and implement Key Account Strategy with major customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Managers and Technology Managers to ensure proper support when dealing on technical issues in order to achieve product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Support Account Managers to work with the engineering companies to achieve business targets.
  • Contribute to product and technology innovation


  • Education: Bachelor degree or above in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Working Experience: minimum 8 years in chemical or petrochemical industry (preferable with experience in engineering company and/or production and/or project management in chemical/petrochemical industry)
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge: Chemical process and catalysts
  • Language efficiency: Fluent and effective communication (speaking and writing) in English and Chinese
  • Others: Self-motivation, Self-supervision, able to manage frequent traveling in Asia Pacific region
