Description

Objectives:Secure and expand the Haptic Coatings business in Asia Pacific

Main Tasks:

• Footwear market: Coordinate the Asian team to achieve both key targets: customer satisfaction and economic success.
• Pro-actively steer the business in commercial and technical regards.
• Steadily improve customer processes (e.g. support automatization) to make coatings solution attractive.
• Ensure highest quality standards in Asian production by setting up a professional Quality Management.
• Install a supply chain which ensures product availability while avoiding any stock write-offs (being it in the central warehouse or in Vietnam).
• Build-up trustful relationships with brand owners and tiers to become the preferred supplier.
• Identify new business potentials within the footwear industry.
• New markets: Expand business beyond footwear.
• Build-up BASF internal/external networks to find new application fields beyond footwear.
• Evaluate technologies/markets close to the core of the Haptic Coatings Start-up.
• Roll-out of solution to extended market in alignment with internal Start-up manager.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Applied Science, economics, marketing or related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience. Project management skills required.
• Good team player with strong presentation skill.
• Excellent networking capability.
• Creative and open-minded; Curious; Entrepreneurial.
• Excellent communication skill in verbal and written English and Chinese.
• Frequent travel Asia-Pacific is expected.
