Strategic Account Manager (Nationwide) (1702170) – Research Triangle Park, NC As a Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving Professional and Specialty Solutions (P&SS) new technology to partners in the connected home market. You will also build business relationships for the purpose of achieving short- and long-term sales goals, while working closely with marketing to ensure the business model is properly constructed to maximize value to BASF and other key stakeholders.   • Coordinate closely with other strategic account managers, the customer experience team, and the functional solutions team to ensure effective implementation occurs across the organization
  • Sell new technology to targeted connected home partners in the US to reach sales goals within assigned budgets
  • Work closely with other internal stakeholders, identifying key opportunities to build and cultivate strong business relationships, and ensure we have a clear value proposition for all customers
  • Coordinate training needs with the functional solutions team
  • Work closely with marketing in developing new strategies / tactics to reach customer and overall P&SS business objectives
  • Take part in strategic account manager meetings led by the National Account Manager; Ensure smooth coordination between customers

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

  • BS/BA or higher level degree
  • 8+ years of experience, at least 5 of which are within sales and/or marketing
  • Demonstrated sales and account management abilities for selling competitive innovations
  • Experience with strategy development and new product launches
  • Highly proficient with the MS Office Suite
  • Willing and able to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Willing and able to reside within the Research Triangle Park, NC area

  • BS/BA or higher level degree within marketing, business or related field
  • Sales or marketing experience selling into the smart home and/or home security markets
