Where the Chemistry Happens… We are currently searching for a motivated Product Manager with a focus on our In-Furrow segment to join our Crop Protection business (AP) located in the Research Triangle Park, NC location Product Manager (1702887) – RTP, NC As Product Manager, under supervision from the Sr. Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing crop business plans, including; situation analysis of markets, projections of future events, objectives, strategies, and tactical plans.   • Identify retailer and grower In-Furrow market needs and communicate product attributes aligned with market needs and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and implement programs that will drive the sales of BASF In-Furrow technologies
  • Develop and update product concepts detailing mid and long-term strategies for assigned products, submitted for supervisor approval
  • Manage assigned product short and long-term supply, forecasting, and profitability by coordinating a balance between short-term operating results and long-term market share development
  • Actively participate as marketing representative on project teams, providing input for justification, approval, development, and introduction of new projects to commercialization
  • Develop market introduction plans for new products including internal coordination to bring the assigned product to market with external focus on development and implementation of positioning, messaging, and value proposition
  • Coordinate with other key internal and external groups to ensure product-related plans are implemented
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and implement specific 3rd party opportunities

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and/or Business Development
  • Proven business acumen and ability to strategically analyze multiple factors, and summarize into concise, creative plans to reach financial goals
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25%, primarily domestically

  • MS / MBA degree
  • 5+ years of experience the in the agri-business industry
  • 8+ years of Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and/or Business Development
  • Experience managing projects across several organizational units (i.e.: Sales, Marketing, Legal, Global Marketing, Finance)
