Objectives

Build and manage Sales of Adsorbents

Main Tasks:

A) Account Management:

  • Develop lasting customer relationships to identify business trends in and beyond the customer scope or respective portfolio.
  • Apply the overall sales process, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify customer requirements and offer solutions (service packages) accordingly.
  • Negotiate and close deals or contracts with customers and provide operational guidance and support to the relevant functional departments to ensure implementation.
  • Design and implement strategic sales plans that expands customer base and ensures sustainable business
  • Identify and attract new customers, pursue new applications and interact with corresponding process and product developers of the potential customers, leading to profitable future business.
  • Continuously increase market intelligence and update customer and competitor data.
  • Take ownership of the account, including the development and execution of the account strategy, and ensure alignment with corporate key account strategy.
  • Influence decision-makers in a complex environment within and outside BASF on all levels, and drive actions/decisions even without disciplinary responsibility.
  • Conduct special projects to generate more business with certain region or segment focus
  • Provide accurate sales forecast, supporting efficient planning of products and services.
  • Closely collaborate with supply chain and logistics team for order execution

B) Technical Account Management:

  • Develop and manage related product/process risks and liabilities
  • Develop deep and trusting customer relationships that ensure access to growth opportunities.
  • Provide basic level of technical service including troubleshooting advice to the customers in India

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor in Chemical, Master of Science or Master in Business Administration preferred
  • Experience: Min 10 years in Sales of Catalysts or Technical sales to the chemical industry.
  • Technical and Professional Knowledge: as above
