Objectives of the Position

Why does this position exist? With what permanent objectives?

According to the agreed strategies, policies and practices, provide inputs and participate in the marketing/ market development and planning, technical development of products and services to support the implementation of sales strategies and polices in the assigned areas/ districts, conclusion of sales contracts at defined sales goals.

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

Sales development for lubricant market

• Leading strongly any lubricant related application, not only handle existing products, but also provide technical advice and work closely with member in sales (G-EVO).

• Visit customers to collect and analyze field information of customer expectations/ problems on product performance/ technical service needs to verify product design suitability to application.

• Communicate often with key person in regional or global marketing and lab as regular basis to exchange information. Create new business model or find out new solution for any critical issues.

Technical support of market strategy

• Act as an active member in sales and marketing team to provide technical supports such as organizing technical seminars, workshop to introduce and promote products.

• Provide technical inputs/ recommendation to strategy development and implementation based on analysis of product performance in comparison to competitive products and reports that define and rank performance requirements for technical success

• Provide competitive product performance information to verify competitiveness of own products

• Provide technical support to customers as trouble shooters and technical consultant, including handling/ follow-up complaints on technical related issues.

Support to define customer needs

• Determine the approach to apply market strategies and sales goals for each product and service by obtaining, coordinating and evaluating data and information from customers and team on product performance, customers’ expectation, intelligence on competitors in order to meet customer expectations and optimize sales/ profit growth.

Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)

Education Education: Chemical

Working Experience 10 years or above in Lubricants market or related Industry as Technical service and Sales (e.g. experience in more than 2 different areas).

Technical & Professional Knowledge Expertise in lubricant market or related industry; High degree of proficiency in written & oral English and Japanese.
