  • Steer the innovation pipeline by managing the ideation process and providing market insights.
  • Act as launch manager to guide project teams through the innovation process.
  • Lead business case development for capital investments
  • Develop Strategic Business Unit (SBU) (EMF – Industrial Solutions) and EM go-to-market strategies.
  • Responsible for Strategic Controlling reporting for the SBU globally.
  • Develop IP strategy, trademark, and branding strategy.
  • Manage general customer interaction/business rules and overall brand, sales support, and lobbying strategies.
  • Oversee strategic partnerships.
  • Plan, monitor, and coordinate global product launches (with Project Teams).
  • Define value propositions and initial price points.
  • Define global pricing strategy and business model.
  • Provide guidance on regional value pricing (e.g., Unique Value Proposition, Value Curves).
  • Derive strategic competitor and customer insights (with Market Intelligence support).
  • Exchange with regional Operational Marketing for detailed market information.
  • Monitor global marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide global communication content.
  • Share global best practices.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of industry experience in marketing, technology and/or business management.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in strategy and/or demonstrated strategic thinking is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and display of initiative.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in cross-functional teams within a global matrix organization.
  • Understanding of both commercial and technical business complexities.
