Description

Objectives Manage and execute Import Orders including controlling, monitoring and expediting the importation process execution of customer orders with their responsibilities. Archiving of all applicable documentation in accordance to company and regulatory guidelines. Main Tasks

  • Collaborate closely with BU, Procurement, CSO to identify imports that come under the scope of Import Management.
  • Proactively collect/compile import/shipment documents before shipment arrival and distribute them to Import Customs and Foreign Trade Operations, Inbound Transportation Managers and other relevant departments in the importing region to ensure smooth importation activities.
  • Manage and prioritize inbound shipments in the importing region in accordance to relevant Incoterm in cooperation with or on behalf of the Export Manager(EM)/Region/country and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure inbound shipments are delivered in line with prevailing order instructions.
  • Act as Single Point of Contact (D2D-IR) for the Export Manager under the D2D setup.
  • Continuous improvement including identifying risks and taking preventive/corrective action to relevant stakeholders, monitoring and continuously improving import service performance.
  • Report to Import Management Supervisor on order processing conditions, Local Service Providers’ performance, contracts, incidents & accidents etc.
  • Ensure existing operating procedures and processes are adhered to / Comply with the regulations in ISO9002 and ISO14001 and improving our behaviour to ensure the system to go smoothly.
  • Ensure all the related service, process and documentation is in compliance with government & country-specific legal laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • College degree or above in international trade, logistics, supply chain or related discipline.
  • At least 1-2 years working experience in logistics and/or import & export operation relate; Working experience in chemical industry preferred.
  • Good capability in written and oral English and Mandarin.
  • Skilful in MS Office; Experience in SAP preferred.
