Description

Located in Hong Kong, BASF’s regional headquarters oversees more than 16,000 employees at about 100 sites across Asia Pacific. In addition to regional business units, Hong Kong office also houses regional functional units including Corporate Affairs, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources, Management Consulting, Procurement and Supply Chain Services. Objectives of the Position

  • Reporting to Vice President, Regional Supply Chain Services Asia Pacific, the incumbent will:
    • Lead and coordinate strategic and conceptual projects and work streams in collaboration with relevant partners / stakeholders including but not limited to BASF’s Supply Chain community, Information Services, different Business Units and Functional Units
    • Globally align and regionally implement initiatives and projects, monitor implementation and ensure information exchange between all relevant parties
    • Support and be responsible for assigned activities from Vice President act as deputy in his absence

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and innovation projects across Asia Pacific with cross-functional teams
  • Globally align and regionally implement initiatives within Regional Supply Chain Services Asia Pacific and with Business Units or Functional Units
  • Facilitate and collaborate with regional platform organizations on operational improvement initiatives
  • Drive and support analysis of supply chain optimization measures
  • Support Vice President in various tasks and communicate with various management level
  • Act as deputy for Vice President Regional Supply Chain Services Asia Pacific during his absence
  • Decide and prioritize as Lean Six Sigma Agent for Regional Supply Chain Services Asia Pacific the implementation of Lean & Operational Excellence projects
  • Roll out Global Supply Chain and Logistics Center of Expertise in Asia Pacific to enable service benefit efficiency, operation cost efficiency and business growth
  • Support implementation of sustainable functional management structures for Site Logistics Organization at selected production sites
  • Provide guidance to executives and employees on global information protection rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Holder of Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Engineering
  • At least 10 years of broad experience in Supply Chain Management / Logistics and project management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong competency in collaboration with different stakeholders and enjoy connecting with new people
  • Experienced in working with regional or global role in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma concept
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English
