Where the Chemistry Happens…

This role is charged with overall ownership of the Allocation Process, both silent and formal. S/he is also responsible for Product Portfolio Optimization workflow by proactive Material Master Data management and Gatekeeping. The successful incumbent will lead the executive S&OP Process, as well as facilitating the Executive S&OP meeting. This role drives the EM North American (NA) Business Rules management process while supporting and reporting on the Business Rules Process.

Supply Chain Sales Control/Project Lead (1704334) – Florham Park, NJ

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Provide leadership, delivery, and execution of the Sales Control Plan. Develop a detailed sales plan in collaboration with product management using supply plan, forecast, and inventory data from the local SC Planner and BRM). Execute all actions in SAP.
  • Actively communicate the sales plan to all necessary parties (e.g., Sales, SC Managers, PM, CC), field questions, and make immediate customer-by-customer updates as necessary to meet customer shipments.
  • Guide, consult, support, and train the business to reach and maintain an optimized product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Global Excellence Team in LU to maintain portfolio excellence in NA supporting the “Pragmatic Approach to Portfolio Optimization”, regional deletion of unused products, and simplification of processes.
  • Approve or reject workflow requests based on Global Criteria to create or change a material (PBG, PRD, ART) in the workflow system.
  • Work with the product stewardship team to address quality and regulatory questions on workflows.
  • Lead New Business Rules Reporting and improvement goals. Publish BRM results within the first 5 working days of the month.
  • Facilitate Monthly Executive S&OP meetings, quarterly SC/CC meetings, and necessary SC training sessions.
  • Provide back-up and potential replacement of Senior Master Data Planner.
  • Actively maintain the data integrity of the EM Material Master Database, and issue quarterly KPI’s associated with complete/incomplete customer facing information.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline required.
  • APICS degree and/or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within Supply Chain Management, combined with at least 2 years of Supply Chain Planning, preferably in a SAP environment or in the manufacturing industry.
