Where the Chemistry Happens… This Supply Chain planner position has responsibility for managing all aspects of planning and inventory management for products imported or toll-manufactured within the U.S. and Canada for the EVJ business. This position ensures product availability at defined locations based on demand and local inventory targets, and is responsible for maintaining proper and cost-efficient inventory levels, while utilizing defined supply chain processes (e.g., safety stock setting, stocking strategies). This position interacts heavily with Customer Care to provide status on customer orders and manages the backorder and allocation processes. Other responsibilities for this position involve working with third-party tollers and procurement, ordering raw materials, and developing a production plan for tolled products, providing input into the Global S&OP process, and working with demand planning to challenge forecasts.   • Be responsible for leading the Supply Reviews (Site Operational Planning Meetings) for third-party tolling locations as an input into the Global EVJ S&OP process.
  • Schedule production and communicate accordingly with third-party locations; order raw materials to meet plan.
  • Interact with Procurement where needed to support raw material ordering.
  • Manage inventory levels to support targets and achieve desired customer service levels.
  • Interact cross-functionally on Dysfunctional Inventory to meet targets and improve working capital.
  • Work with Demand Planning to challenge forecasts for responsible products.
  • Utilize ABCxyz analysis to develop any alternative inventory stocking strategies (e.g., ROP, MTO) with buy-in from Product Management as necessary.
  • Identify and drive planning process improvements in collaboration with EV supply chain and BASF Planning Communities.
  • Participate in Supply Chain or Business Projects.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or a related field, combined with at least 2 years of work experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP R/3 or APO or other ERP System, along with strong experience using MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with material planning processes, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work management skills, with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks effectively.
  • Action-oriented, with good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively in a global, cross-functional environment to achieve organizational goals.
  • APICS CPIM certification or progress towards certification.
