Where the Chemistry Happens… As the Supply Chain Director, you will manage and lead supply chain and logistics operations for the Chemical Intermediates (CI) division in North America (NA) and its associated business groups. This includes supply chain planning, inventory management, demand management, warehousing, transportation, and site logistics activities. You will provide vision and leadership to design, implement, and direct the supply chain organization, logistics asset management, and operational processes and systems to effectively support rapidly changing customer and business requirements.   • Leverage your planning and execution abilities to lead all global/regional affiliate and cross-RBU (Regional Business Unit) demand and supply requirements.
  • Successfully support market and financial requirements through development of a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the North American region.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to workplace safety through promotion of BASF’s EHS philosophy of Zero Incidents and Zero Accidents.
  • Drive Sales and Operations planning processes that will ensure a proactive balance of supply and demand, as well as resulting inventory levels, for the N-CIN businesses in North America.
  • Effectively address and mitigate risks within the global supply chain network.
  • Maintain the overall performance of third-party logistics operations within the Corporate Service platform.
  • Direct all transportation (e.g., marine, barge, rail, bulk truck, truckload, LTL) activities, including management responsibility to optimize freight costs.
  • Exchange best-practice experiences with other Supply Chain organizations (e.g, SCCC, service providers) and business units, as well as leveraging external partners (e.g, universities, institutions, internal consulting).

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You… We will rely on your ability to leverage your previous supply chain management leadership and experience, and degree(s) in a business or technical discipline (preferably Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Engineering), to lead supply chain and logistics operations for our North American Chemical Intermediates (CI) division and its associated business groups. Your strong ability to develop strategies and plans to meet market demands within a multi-site manufacturing environment, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, is essential to success in this role.
