  • Lead a multi-crafted team of in-house and third-party personnel.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety performance and work process implementation.
  • Perform work scheduling, task assignment, execution tracking, and task closure.
  • Provide “Specialist” support to the team in his/her area of expertise.
  • Develop and execute work processes and tools to monitor productivity.
  • Oversee the maintenance budget.
  • Collaborate with the nested contractor’s site manager.
  • Take a leading role in turn-around planning.
  • Partner with the Reliability Engineer to support Root Cause Analysis and Corrective action implementation.
  • Display technical strength in either “Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E)” or “Rotating Equipment” disciplines.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a first-class rotating equipment mechanic or instrument technician.
  • At least 3 years of craft supervisory experience.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Experience gained in a chemical plant operating environment supporting ongoing operational needs.
  • Proven record of team leadership and development.
  • Ability to work self-directed.
  • Advanced level of experience in the “I&E” or “Rotating Equipment” disciplines.
  • Training in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proficiency with SAP maintenance work processes, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of FDA or ISO9001 requirements preferred.
  • Established relationships with local service providers and suppliers is a plus.
  • Travel 5%
