Description

BASF started doing business in Japan in 1888. Activities cover four business segments including chemicals, performance products, functional materials & solutions and agricultural solutions. BASF maintains a strong research and development presence in Japan including the Yokohama Innovation Center (engineering plastics) and the Research and Development Laboratory and Application Technology Center for Battery Materials in Amagasaki. Division & Team introduction: Finance proactively supports business units and functional units based on professional knowledge and experience. Compliance is one of the key roles of Finance. By providing and ensuring high financial compliance of the legal entity, Finance takes on the custodian role by working with the business to ensure compliance and effective controls. Credit Risk Management (CRM) works closely with Regional and Global Credit Risk Management/Treasury Units to support BASF group legal entities’ CRM requirements. Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing or supporting the credit risk to BASF group legal entities in Japan.
• Provide analytical methodologies to analyze the creditworthiness to minimize the exposure of the various firms they work with and Overdue Management,
• Assist in the development and maintenance of a credit risk rating matrix; provide continuous monitoring and surveillance of the firms and financial requirements while conducting ratio and trend analysis.
• Compliance with audit, legal and regulatory requirements; supporting BASF guideline; developing new and enhancing existing guideline, procedures and practices.
• Adopt and adjust to prevail BASF Global and Regional guideline
• Develop and leverage relationships with customers and partners to manage risk while facilitating sales, proactively engage with customers and Partners to manage and expand credit capacity. Professionally and timely, address customers and stakeholders complaints.

Skills and Knowledge requirements: Skill:

• Excel, Word, Power Point
• Financial analysis
• ERP package as end user e.g. SAP, ORACLE Knowledge:
• Standard operations of CRM
• Financial accounting
• The basic knowledge of Japanese Contract

• Debt collection management Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field English ability:
• Business Intermediate to Advance level (oral and written) Relevant Experience:
• Proven experience in Credit Risk Management in related industry > 3 years
• Finance and Business related experience > 5 years Falling under any of the following experience is preferable.
