Objectives

  • Performs the operations of Information Services (IS) infrastructure services for BASF Pudong site as member of the Regional Infrastructure Services (G-FSI/IRMC) unit.
  • As a technical & coordination support position in the IS infrastructure department, work in concert with other IS infrastructure departments and external providers to deliver mission, critical services for Pudong site.

Main Tasks

  • Act as the Local contact for IS service providers: coordinate local on-site activities in the site with internal teams and external providers, for daily infrastructure services, related to Workplace support, Network support and Server support.
  • Operate specific solutions, services and specialties installed in Pudong site, including preparation of all requests for local solutions, VIP support, PC support, Speical Purpose support, etc, performing administration tasks eg. Gatekeeper approval, raising purchase requisitions, website administration, disseminate IS-related information or knowledge eg. FAQs, local-friendly manuals, roadshows, etc to promote user computing productivity.
  • Perform the required local tasks for implementations and rollouts of change requests and projects in the site.
  • Perform resolution activities for all service, incident and problem escalations arising in the site. Works closely with the respective teams to bring about timely communication, restoration and closure.
  • Perform data update and maintenance, like data pertaining to all locally installed IS assets (all hardware, software licenses, warranties, maintenance, service agreements, etc) in the site is timely updated in the BASF global asset databases, and that usage statistics are accurately reported as required.
  • Support infrastructure service and solution content experts for the purpose of enhancing user support and for the designing of effective, fit-for-Asia Pacific-purpose IS infrastructure solutions and services.
  • Operate “IS Security on the ground” topics arising in the site, including administering physical security access controls of local IS assets, support security alerts, responses and reporting, contact person for local security audits of IS standard services.
  • Support the annual Hardware Investment planning for existing hardware.


  • Bachelor degree in Management Information System, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • 4 years’ working experience related to information technology or experience in supporting the delivery of information services or supporting projects in large-sized MNC.
  • Good understanding of existing and emerging information technology systems.
  • Good oral and written English skills.
  • Good interpersonal and customer focus.
