What you can expect

Within our unit you will support us in different projects with focus on implementing IT and software architectures in Research and Development (R&D).

• You are the single point of contact for IT related requirements and questions for our innovative projects of digitalization of BASF (Industry 4.0) for the cluster R&D and take over the role as technical product owner or lead architect.
• In digitalization projects of BASF, you will work in agile teams to implement prototypes, minimum viable products and support the productive implementation from an architecture point of view.
• You will analyze requirements and processes of our internal business partners in R&D and communicate between our internal business partner, project teams, external providers and other internal IT departments.
• You will use IT concepts and tools like cloud computing, containers, Lean UX, artificial intelligence in the context of innovative projects and help BASF to drive the digital change and become the digital leader in chemical industry.
• With a training-on-the-job you will be part of digitalization projects and you can bring in your expertise right from the beginning.

What we expect

• You hold a degree in business informatics, computer science, bioinformatics or physics or have years of experience in the field of Web development, Web design and software architecture.
• You have several years of professional experience that allows you to rely on extensive knowledge of business processes and applications, and you have a high level of IT expertise.
• You are also intimately familiar with the IT applications and technologies used internally and know the architectures of modern Web applications.
• You take a critical view of existing processes and structures, are open to new trends and innovations and are able to think strategically and act entrepreneurially.
• You can demonstrate your good communication skills in both German and English at any time.
