Senior IS Technical Consultant - QM (1704260) – Virtual The Sr. IS Technical Consultant understands functional solution designs and translates them into technical realization. This role is responsible for the design and development of functional or technical enhancements to existing applications. S/he has deep knowledge of the SAP standard for the Quality Management Module (QM), as well as the BASF own-developed extensions. The successful candidate is an expert in ABAP programming and knowledgeable regarding the SAP ERP application layer in general. Formula for Success: You Will…

• Manage complex development environments, using internal and external resources
• Oversee technical design of application enhancements and new applications for BASF QM processes.
• Develop applications by using state-of-the-art programming methods and ensuring compliance with all relevant BASF guidelines.
• Ensure runnable, supportable, and stable solutions from a technical point of view, together with operations.
• Contribute to planning and provide cost estimations for complex projects.
• Support creation of (functional) Solution Design Documents.
• Assist in testing and error correction activities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

• Bachelor’s degree required with 4 years of professional experience in a QM Technical Consultant role or as ABAP programmer; OR Master’s degree with 2 years of professional experience in a QM Technical Consultant role or as an ABAP programmer; a degree in Information Technology is preferred.
• Excellent ABAP programming and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with QM technical environments and QM standard customizing.
• Knowledge of Adobe technology, OLE2, VBA technology, and SAP script technology.
• Ability to foster sustainability and to collaborate for achievement.
• Capable of encouraging innovation.
• Knowledge of quality management processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid proactive thinking.
