Where the Chemistry Happens… We are seeking a Senior Citrix Systems Engineer to manage and maintain the BASF IS Application landscape. Senior Citrix Systems Engineer - 1701301 You will ensure global integration of all the services in the delivery network (contains operational supplier management) including technical gate keeping, including identifying, control, record, report, audit and verify Configuration Items (CIs), including versions, baselines, constituent components, their attributes, relationships and hierarchies. In case of incident, you will restore normal application services as quickly as possible and minimize adverse impact on operations, including problem management, change management (including small business requests) and continuous service improvement (CSI).

You will define handling and escalation of operational security breaches. Bespoke Applications is responsible for the full lifecycle of dedicated Applications (CIs) including consult, design and build. Formula for Success: You Will…

• Process complex requirements and changes
• Consult and provide customer support
• Support Junior System Engineers and System Engineers on the team
• Manage planning, installation, configuration and operation of complex IT systems (HW/SW)
• Manage customer projects and/or management of international subprojects
• Lead business-oriented and operative management of external service providers
• Design, introduce and optimize of global operational processes
• Lead quality assurance and documentation of system changes
• Develop technical concepts and delivery models
• Execute reports, cost controlling and management
• Execute service documentation, design and planning
• Ensure knowledge building and transfer within the IS Community
• Service owner for global services
• On-call duty and availability corresponding to existing SLA agreements
• Monitoring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, OLAs

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

• Minimum 3 years of experience in various areas of IT applications. Technical training in the IT sector a plus.
• In depth knowledge of Citrix products. Experience is designing Citrix solutions in a large global environment.
• Technical background in Microsoft group policies, Windows Server & Citrix products.
• Working knowledge of basic project management, process analysis, process improvement, and change management methodologies; Logical and process-oriented problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience supporting customers in a large organization, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and self-motivation.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience working in a globally, diverse organization a plus.
• Demonstrated experience multitasking while maintaining a high attention to details in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
