The Database and Web Administrator provides monitoring and online support of all databases running in BASF regionally and globally. The Database administration team provides support for all databases inside BASF Globally and Regionally.

• Ensure audit, monitoring and documentation of BASF’s database infrastructures as part of a global team.
• Support Patching, Version and Lifecycle management to ensure secure and most actual environment possible.
• Lead major incidents and drive them to resolution.
• Design environments per project and customer requirements.
• Perform system performance tuning and procedures.
• Document operational processes and procedures.
• Participate in on-call duties.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in various areas of IT applications.
• Bachelor's degree preferred. Technical training in the IT sector a plus.
• Experience in Oracle (OCA/OCP Certificate a plus) and Microsoft MSSQL products.
• Working knowledge of basic project management, process analysis, process improvement and change management methodologies; Logical and process-oriented problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience supporting customers in a large organization, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated experience multitasking while maintaining a high attention to details in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
• Experience working in a globally, diverse organization a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive and self-motivation.
