Strategic Human Resources Business Advisor – Performance Materials (1704295) – Wyandotte, MI Where the Chemistry Happens Human Resources professionals at BASF create chemistry with people. HR is working to form the best team by sourcing, hiring and developing the right talent for BASF. In addition to traditional responsibilities like governance, benefits administration, and payroll, HR at BASF serves as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time to help the Company grow. The Performance Materials (PM) business provides polymer solutions for construction, industrial, consumer, and transportation industries. Key products include polyurethanes, engineering plastics, styrenic foams, and specialty plastics. As the Strategic Human Resources Business Advisor for Performance Materials, you will orchestrate corporate and unit level human capital strategy through partnering with other HR colleagues, the senior unit leader, and his/her leadership team in the areas of Talent, Leadership, Organization and Culture. You do not directly manage team; however, you are a member of the business unit leadership team and a business person—putting customers first and enabling a winning together environment. You will champion BASF’s employer value proposition and its principles, by connecting people and knowledge, putting learning first, engaging people to drive a high-performance culture, and caring about our employees.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

  • Leveraging your strong educational background and prior work experience in progressively responsible HR positions, you will influence unit leaders and their team members through change and be an important asset in connecting business strategy to people strategy while driving higher business unit performance.
  • Effectively engaging across the business, you will balance organizational needs via a short-term versus long-term focus, and provide actionable input into the development and establishment of Center of Excellence (CoE) programs, as well as other critical talent solutions.
  • Through your solid leadership and data-driven insights that clearly define selection criteria, you will partner with a high-performing talent acquisition team to successfully implement BASF’s Strategy 2025.
