Talent Acquisition Advisor (1702122) –Research Triangle Park, NC

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will be responsible for consultative recruitment of outstanding talent. You will partner with hiring managers to understand their business and talent needs in order to ensure the highest quality candidates are presented in the most time-effective manner. You will collaborate across sourcing, candidate care and diversity strategy, leveraging critical thinking and influencing skills to resolve complex and challenging situations.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Leverage organizational strategy and labor market knowledge to find top talent. Ability to manage and influence business leader expectations on talent availability (by leveraging market analytics), and help them find the right balance between speed and quality.
  • Develop and execute a staffing strategy for assigned businesses focused on creative sourcing methods to identify high-potential, diverse talent.
  • Anticipate changing needs of hiring managers and the businesses s/he supports and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Build and maintain a strong internal network with key stakeholders.
  • Effectively balance process excellence and strategic effectiveness.
  • Hold accountability for performance targets (i.e., conversion ratio, recruiting effectiveness, hiring manager and candidate satisfaction).
  • Enable optimization of hiring decisions in the context of the broader talent strategy
  • Challenge and educate hiring managers on talent assessment, business/talent risks of hiring certain candidates, and talent assumptions.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree required combined with a minimum of 3 years of HR and professional recruiting experience OR no degree and 7+ years combined HR and recruiting experience.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with customers to develop and execute recruitment strategies in varied regional markets within a high-volume, fast-paced environment, while maintaining ownership of the candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Comprehensive behavioral-based interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Experience in building relationships and consulting with and influencing managers with regard to candidate sourcing and selection, market demographics, and broadening search parameters to improve the quality of talent pool.
  • Knowledge of current state and federal employment/labor laws and practices.
  • Familiarity with networking and sourcing trends, including extensive use of LinkedIn and social media channels, displaying persistence and aggressiveness in following up to obtain information; capability of utilizing enterprise-wide Applicant Tracking Systems such as Taleo, Kenexa BrassRing, or SAP E-recruit; high proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills combined with attention to detail and ability to think logically while working independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced team environment while managing multiple projects to successful completion.
