BASF's Diverse Leaders Program (DLPs) was created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING AN MBA DEGREE BETWEEN DECEMBER 2017 AND AUGUST 2018.

Program Summary

· As a full-time employee, you will lead strategic projects that will drive business growth, while providing visibility to senior leaders across the organization.

· 12-24 month program with strategic projects/assignments sponsored by our senior leaders in various areas within the organization. Assignments feature opportunities for international exposure and the ability to drive high profile results. The DLP is comprised of one 12 month project/assignment that will either lead to a direct placement or to 6-12 month project/assignment in a Business or Function Unit with a placement opportunity.

· Projects span the spectrum from new business development and definition/implementation of business strategy to M&A and other business critical efforts.

· Assignments can be located in a variety of locations throughout the U.S.

  • May lead to opportunities in a variety of disciplines in general management.
  • This program is targeted toward traditionally underrepresented cultural groups, including but not limited to African American, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Basic Qualifications

  • MBA Graduation dates: December 2017 - August 2018, pursuing a career in General Management and/or 7-10 years of work experience
  • Demonstrated academic achievement
  • Ambition to further your career into leadership levels
  • Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship
  • Supervision Experience or leadership in project management
  • Significant fiscal oversight responsibilities
  • International perspective or experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding work ethic
  • Learning agility and flexibility
  • Ability to lead in an organization that values and leverages both business and technically expertise

Desired Characteristics

  • Undergraduate Business or Technical Degree preferred but not necessary (e.g. Chemistry, Engineering, etc.)
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Work in emerging markets
