Description

Objectives

• The Piping Engineer is responsible for and has to coordinate all activities related to piping discipline, including materials and material take-off, piping routing and calculation, within a piping investment project

Main Tasks

• Support the Project/Engineering Manager with regard to piping engineering issues.
• Coordinate, monitor & control all piping design activities towards contractors
• Provide technical expertise and support to the Mechanical and E&I other disciplinary engineering team.
• Establish and keep close contact to the related engineering discipline at BASF regionally and globally
• Evaluate Technical Bids from Supplier
• Check of Vendor Drawings for Mechanical/piping Safety Devices
• Perform Vendor shop audits and visits
• Supervise Cost and Schedule for piping discipline in a Project
• Shall coordinate within the Piping and other disciplines for all aspects of piping engineering
• Application and implement of ISO-Standards and BASF EHS regulation, responsibility.

Requirements

• Working Experience: more than 4 years in chemical industry, Work experiences in specific professional field (mechanical engineering) will be an advantage and Work experiences in engineering industry preferable
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Deep knowledge and rich experience with pipeline calculation, PDS, PDMS piping design and site cooperation in chemical engineering
• Education: Bachelor degree or above in chemical engineering related major
