• During the first 12 months on-the-job training at BASF Shanghai Coatings, you will get a first overview about our products and processes and will integrate in our BASF family.
• Afterwards, the 12 months overseas training will offer you the chance to familiarize with the variety of our worldwide company operations and it will serve to prepare yourself for your future assignment at BASF in China.
• Additionally, you will have the possibility to be well connected with the global organization, thanks to a wide range of networking events and ongoing support from your personal guide and mentor.
• As account manager, you will be responsible to create local account strategy which aligns with company's global and regional strategic path.
• You will lead the local account team including an on-site technical service team to achieve all commercial targets.
• Furthermore, you will be in charge of the account organization and team members' personal development and join as well as drive all customer-related commercial acitivities, including negotiations and product promotions.

What we expect

• We are looking for motivated trainees who will work with business and technology interfaces and continually develop the company through their commitment.
• You have earned an overseas above-average Master's degree in a chemical-related subject or equivalent overseas experience. A MBA is advantageous.
• In addition to your strong communication skills in Chinese and English, your German skills will be considered as a plus.
• You show great management/leadership potential, have a high intercultural orientation and you are aware of topics regarding safety, health and the environment.
• You have advanced experience with Windows and MS Office packages.
• In addition to your analytical way of thinking and ability to make decisions, you are aware of topics regarding safety, health and the environment.
