  • Provide leadership and supervision of all maintenance and engineering resources, including a reliability engineer, mechanical integrity engineer, process engineer, capital project manager, and a maintenance superintendent.
  • Formulate and manage the maintenance and capital budgets in coordination with business and site leadership.
  • Serve as an active member of the site leadership team
  • Maintain an active working relationship with the corporate engineering Hub and the BASF technical community
  • Champion adherence to the Technical Community best practices for maintenance, as well as promote continuous work process improvements to enhance plant availability and reduce plant repair factor. Collaborate with operations to accomplish tasks while minimizing disruption to production.
  • Manage and execute capital projects within the BASF guidelines. Oversee specific aspects of the site investment programs including project management, project assignment, resource planning, goal setting, and priorities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline with at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience in both continuous and batch manufacturing and capital project management is preferred.
  • Strong track record in organizational and departmental leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and project management.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and streamline multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience with continuous improvement and change management initiatives, and Root Cause Analysis.
