  • Provide technical leadership for production campaigns to manufacture products within expected standards of quality, cost, efficiency, compliance, and safety and responsible care.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions to resolve issues in processes, equipment, and product quality.
  • Optimize processes and/or seek alternate technologies to reduce ergonomic and process safety risks, quality and equipment failures, costs, and waste.
  • Be responsible for Plant Trials including new product scale-up, plant-to-plant technology/product transfers, and raw material substitution trials. The responsible engineer is involved in all stages of the Tech Transfer Process.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in an industrial discipline such as process design, process support, and/or production. Team would also consider candidates with less years of experience if they have also complete BASF's PDP engineering program.
  • Must possess a strong technical/problem solving aptitude and skills in interpreting and presenting data.
  • Demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed to build trust and establish relationships quickly and effectively.
  • Must display initiative and a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Strong verbal and written skills are a must.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter and capable of working with limited direction.
  • Must have demonstrated competency in: critical thinking and decision-making, ingenuity, results orientation, building trust, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Candidate should be willing and capable of complying with Environmental Health and Safety standards at the plant.
