What you can expect

You will be responsible for the engineering of static devices, machines and units for investment projects at BASF Antwerp.

• Together with the project team and operations, you will coordinate the preparation of technical specifications of static devices, machines and units.
• In close cooperation with procurement, you will follow up on quotes and coordinate the technical comparison of these quotations.
• You will monitor the settlement- & delivery period of the equipment by suppliers as well as the quality of the equipment, and you will coordinate the interfaces with other relevant services within BASF.
• If necessary, you will provide support during the assembly phase.
• You will also be responsible for the anchoring of knowledge of certain aspects of the mechanical specialization within the department and the company.

What we expect

• You hold a master degree of Mechanical Engineering and possess a broad professional expertise.
• Knowledge of static devices and machines is a plus, as well as experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Team spirit, leadership and good communication are important.
• You have an accurate and methodic approach and you enjoy project-based work.
• Finally, you speak Dutch fluently.
