Objectives of the Position

• Establish and increase the engineering capability in the organization of BJ
• Design development of Cellasto Jounce Bumper, Top Mount, Coil Spring Isolator for Japanese OEMs and/or related Tier-1 customers
• Increase the projects with Japanese OEMs and/or related Tier-1 customers.

Main Tasks

• Visit Japanese OEMs and/or related Tier-1 customers to understand the customer engineering needs and promote Cellasto
• Set up the appropriate infrastructure or procedure of Cellasto engineering (E.g. IT tools, sample preparation) at BJL together with the BJL managements in Japan and Cellasto engineers in the regions.
• Develop the design of the Cellasto product to meet the engineering requirements of each project at and/or related Tier-1 customers by using the Cellasto Database, Simulation tools (3D, 2D CAD).
• Fulfill the customer needs by providing engineering and its related technical supports. Optimizing the part geometry based on simulation, prototype part evaluation results and customer feedback.
• (E.g. providing the design proposal, test dates, samples, documents and those quality managements).
• Set up the necessary documents/systems internally/externally at BJL to provide the support to the customers.
• (E.g. SAP/Material code creation, NTP, packaging, sample delivery, invoicing)
• Frequently communicate with GKAM and engineers in the team in BASF group by call, e-mails, F/F meetings.
• Manage the project transfer across the regions for the engineering & technical matter.
• Join or arrange the global calls, meetings on demand.

Minimum Education and Qualification Required forthe Position

• Education: At least Bachelor Degree, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Working Experience: At least 1-2 years practical experiences in the automotive industry
• Technical & Professional Knowledge: Experienced in the part design or measurement for automotive industry, familiar with ISO/ TS 16949, design FMEA, Ability to analyze and solve problems, experience in customer communication, CAD software (Pro/E preferred) , PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), Project Management Capability
• Native Japanese speaker, Fluent English speaking & writing, MS Office skills, Chinese if possible
